Photoshop – a device?

right! Photoshop is a lot of things but not a dishwasher. I guarantee you. But it can be very useful in the house. Perhaps even essential.

Not long ago, I clicked on my garage door and after a few cries that sounded like the train derailment, which closed with a stop at a position terribly twisted. Fast forward to the installation of garage doors that my wife and I show pictures of new garage doors. Many styles, many colors … and a lot of indecision. However, the solution was simple. I scanned a few brochures participants installers and albums and then took a digital photo of my garage from the outside. (I needed an image for the insurance anyway.)

Within minutes, we are in front of my computer and see pictures of our garage doors with all candidates. With a click of the mouse, you can switch between wood and aluminum, mocha and pepper, and is expensive compared to exorbitant. While the magic has to happen? The magic of Photoshop, of course.

I put the scan of each gate potential in a single layer in Photoshop. Think of Photoshop as a layer of plastic sheeting can be drawn on (numerically). Then I did my garage with an image layer, erasing the existing door, ill. When I removed the door, space became transparent. Thus, one at a time, had the Photoshop layer show the garage door on each candidate gate layer (after the right size to fit the opening). The result was very realistic and has helped us to make a quick decision. In addition, we went with wood, pepper, and exorbitant.

How often requires similar decisions, where, if you could better visualize the result, our choice would be easy? Although in my house, it quite often.

Planning a new photo wall? How many pictures should be? How should they be fixed? What style of frame? Photoshop can make quick work of it all. Take a picture frame or frames you want, and another wall. Then, gather your favorite images. In Photoshop, you can stick one of these images as part of a picture frame. You can then paste the image in the framed picture on the wall. Then add the framed pictures on the wall, change the size and layout to your liking. You can even view photos of the wall to see how it would look from an angle (using the Vanishing Point filter). With Photoshop, you can see everything before the first nail in drywall.

The possibilities are endless. Will you return to a landscape? Take a digital camera to your local nursery and snapshots of all the plants that might work. Then go home and factory digital image of your garden, all in Photoshop, of course. (Does not need water!) How about a shelf new brand? How many shelves and what kind of space? Take a picture of the space provided, but include a rule or something with a known dimension. Now you can use Photoshop to draw on their shelves, the change in distance and so on, and then take measurements of the winning design (with the ruler as a guide). Take another picture of some books. (You have not? After all, you build shelves …) With this book the image to fill their shelves. (Yes, it will seem like you have twenty copies of war and peace, but you get the idea.) Read everything and do well, even before taking a position.
